We hope you are having a great summer and enjoying the fabulous weather! It’s been a busy summer for us. We are putting the finishing touches on the Safety Committee Conference in Langley – we will have 10 – 12 sessions aimed at your safety committee. If you need to jump start your committee and get some enthusiasm for safety built up, plan on attending this event. Check back soon!
We have also been to the ASSE conference in Las Vegas and will also be going to Montreal to attend the CSSE conference in search of excellent speakers to bring to the Western Conference on Safety. We’re excited about what we’ve seen so far, so save the dates! April 2014 will be here before you know it!

May 2, 2012:
The 2012 Western Conference on Safety is now safely in the history books. Over 850 delegates attended another 180 exhibitors, 24 speakers and 17 facilitators, volunteers and conference staff. Add another 150 people attending the post conference professional development courses and well over 1200 people participated in the largest Western Conference on Safety ever and the second largest OSH conference in Canada. Thank you to all the speakers and volunteers who made all this possible. Despite adding additional seats, the conference was sold out for the second year in a row. Next years conference runs April 22 & 23, 2013. Hope to see you there..
March 26, 2012: New record set for most registrations received in one day.
Friday March 23 was the deadline to receive the reduced early bird registration rates. Over 106 people registered that day which is a new all time record for the Western Conference on Safety. As of today 680 people are registered for the conference, the most registrations we have ever received by this date. There are only 130 seats still available. If you are planning on attending we suggest you register right away to guarantee your seat.
February 15, 2012:
Registrations for this year’s Western Conference on Safety continue to come in at a fast rate than any previous year. Looks like this year should be a sellout. Thank you for the hundreds of people who are already signed up to attend.

2011 Western Conference on Safety Completely Sold Out
The 2011 Western Conference on Safety is now officially over. It was the largest event in its 16 year history with 804 registered delegates, 170 post-conference course attendees, 187 exhibit staff, 28 speakers and 15 volunteer/staff totalling up to 1204 people, making it the largest Occupational Safety and Health Conference west of Ontario. Our “sold out” level was 800 delegates but we didn’t have the heart to turn away the 4 people who registered on site. This means that the conference completely sold out for the first time since 2006. While we haven’t finished reviewing all the delegate evaluations yet, they are overwhelmingly positive. The conference steering committee will now be taking a few days off but will start planning work on the 2012 conference in just a couple of weeks. Thank you to the conference volunteers, speakers, staff and most of all, the hundreds and hundreds of people who attended.
